Introduction to AWS Distribution Program

The AWS Distribution Program enables AWS reseller partners to grow revenue opportunities by reselling AWS products and solutions. AWS reseller partners work with AWS distributors to leverage their go-to-market support, offload billing and operations, receive funding benefits, and gain technical expertise.

AWS distributors go through a rigorous AWS review process to ensure they provide AWS-specific partner development expertise and value-added services to AWS reseller partners. They support a wide range of businesses including system integrators (SIs), independent software vendors (ISVs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), value-added resellers (VARs), digital marketing companies, hardware companies, and public sector organizations.

AWS Distributor Role

AWS distributors provide the following value to AWS reseller partners:

  • Give pre-sales and post-sales support, training, marketing services, and enablement programs to grow the business of AWS reseller partners.

  • Share technical expertise with migrations, managed services, cloud optimization, and other complex initiatives.

  • Take on billing and operations management of AWS reseller partners, enabling them to focus on positive customer experiences.

  • Help AWS reseller partners progress their business and fully leverage all the partner programs and benefits available from AWS.

AWS Distributor - Reseller Partner Relationship

When an AWS Distributor engages in a transaction on behalf of an AWS reseller partner for their AWS customer, the AWS distributor owns the management of the accounts with AWS, and performs billing, invoicing and support to AWS reseller partners.

AWS Distributors may, at their discretion, pass down to AWS reseller partners additional benefits to leverage for their AWS customers, and provide value-adding support in pre-sales activities.
